Mowgli Leaves the Pack in new The Jungle Book Clip

The more we see of Jon Favreau's upcoming remake of The Jungle Bookthe more we're excited about how beautiful the blend of live-action and photoreal animation looks. We've already seen how magnificent Idris Elba's might tiger Shere Khan looks in this clip (to say nothing of the assorted animals surrounding him), and now we get a look at how the wizards behind the film's seamless blending of the real and digital handle low light and rain. In a word; beautiful.

This scene features Mowgli (Neel Sethi) having a tearful goodbye with Raksha (Lupita Nyong’o), the wolf who has raised him as her son. It showcases just how realistic, and gorgeous, the interplay between a real boy and a digital creature has been handled.

The Jungle Book comes out on April 15.
