Katniss is Done Giving Speeches:The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 Trailer
“Ladies and gentleman welcome to the 76th Hunger Games.” We just got our first look at the new trailer for Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 and the word that comes to mind is payback. Of all the mega-jerks in the suite of dystopian films we've seen in the past few years, none are as sneeringly obnoxious as President Snow(Donald Sutherland).
The new trailer starts with an enormous, glamorous wedding filled with celebration, but the tension is immediately palpable with the rebellion lurking beneath the glittering surfaces of the capitol. Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence, as if you need her ID'd) is "done making speeches," and the time for revenge against President Snow is ripe. Katniss, leading the insurgency, implores citizens to “turn their weapons to the capitol.”
This trailer is thumping (punctuated with a copper kettle drum) and action packed. We catch the return of Liam Hemsworth, Josh Hutcherson, Natalie Dormer, Elizabeth Banks, and the rest of the cast from Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1, including a glimpse of Philip Seymour Hoffman in his final performance.
