Watch The Avengers: Infinity War do the Rounds On Late Night

If you were channel surfing last night, you were in for a treat. You had nearly the whole cast of Avengers: Infinity War delighting fans, singing songs, answers (very often incorrectly) Avenger– centric questions, and, in the process, promoting their colossal ensemble film on Fallon, Kimmel and MTV News. Let’s take a brief tour from show to show and see what our Avengers friends were up to.

Over on The Tonight Show, Fallon, the most musically inclined of the late night hosts, had the stars take part in “The Marvel Bunch.” Parodying the absurd/iconic opening of “The Brady Bunch,” Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, a three-pack of Chris’s (Hemsworth, Evans and Pratt), Anthony Mackie, Benedict Cumberbatch and Chadwick Boseman all brought their varied singing abilities (Cumberbatch and Boseman have some pipes) to the sketch. There’s really nobody on air who more reliably puts together great musical sketches than Fallon, who has the major advantage of having the Roots as his house band.

Meanwhile on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Danai Gurira, Tom Hiddleston, Mark Ruffalo, Dave Bautista and…Scarlett Johansson (of course the Black Widow would make being in two places at once look easy) were on hand to play a little game of “Guess the Avenger.” Kimmel would share a fact about one of the stars, and the five were tasked with writing the correct name of who the proper Avenger is on their boards. The first question, relating to a bit of funny business in an airplane bathroom, is just about NSFW.

Also on Kimmel, Cousin Sal headed out to Hollywood Boulevard to the El Capitan Theater, where super-fans were taking part in a 30-hour Marvel movie marathon. You’ll meet a nice woman named Danielle, who came from San Diego dressed like Thor to the marathon. Jimmy offers Danielle a special “sneak peak” at Infinity War, and cousin Sal leads her to the “sneak peak” hole, conveniently located up a slight ramp a few feet away.  And who does Danielle find inside? Josh Brolin, Chris Hemsworth, Chadwick Boseman, Karen Gillan, and Sebastian Stan. Honestly, Danielle handles this entire scenario with impressive grace.

And finally, on MTV News, Josh Horowitz quizzed the Infinity War cast about things they really should know. For example, he asked varying pairs and trios of stars to name all six of the Infinity Stones. Elizabeth Olson and Letitia Wright offered the names of their colors, while Dave Bautista, Don Cheadle and Pom Klementieff just start naming things with the word ‘stone’ in it, like Sly and the Family ____ and Oliver ____. Leave it up to the Brits, Tom Holland and Benedict Cumberbatch, to take the quiz seriously and give a real try. When Horowitz gets to the question of “describe Scarlett Witch’s power,” the wheels really come off.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters…tomorrow, on April 27!
