Watch a Brand New Blade Runner 2049 Behind-the-Scenes Featurette

Yesterday we shared the story about how Blade Runner 2049 director Denis Villeneuve has made peace with the monumental task of following up Ridley Scott’s 1982 classic. As if Villeneuve needed any more reminders of the seismic impact the original Blade Runner made, this Sunday marks the film’s 35th anniversary. As we look forward to Villeneuve’s sequel, People Magazine has just published their exclusive look at the film.

“Blade Runner 2049: Time to Live” offers brand new behind-the-scenes footage, from Officer K (Ryan Gosling) searching through a deserted casino to a neon-lit, hologram-haunted, Blade Runner 2049 looks both like a continuation of Scott’s classic and a bold, fresh take, enlivened by Villeneuve’s intelligence, 13 time Oscar-nominee cinematographer Roger Deakins’ incredible lensing (the two worked on Sicario together), production designer Dennis Gassner's genius sets, and art director Paul Ingler's visionary landscapes, both desolate and metropolitan.

You’ll also get a better look at Jared Leto’s mysterious Wallace, Harrison Ford’s iconic Rick Dekcard, and of course, Gosling’s Officer K.
