Maryland’s film production incentives include a refundable tax credit of 28% for films and 30% for TV series on eligible production-related expenditures, including wages, with a maximum amount of $125,000 per project for Maryland Small Films and $10 million for qualified film productions. The program requires a minimum in-state spend of $250,000 for qualified film productions and requires that 50% of principal photography occur in Maryland. Program funding is subject to appropriation.
