

Aaron Wais
Aaron Wais is the Senior Vice President, Head of Global Litigation for the Motion Picture Association. Mr. Wais brings over two decades of litigation experience to the role, in which he oversees all litigation brought internationally by the Alliance for Creativity and Entertainment, the international coalition of companies and trade associations that takes legal action to curb piracy, as well as litigation matters related to the MPA’s member studios.
Before joining the Motion Picture Association, Mr. Wais spent fifteen years at Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp, LLP, becoming a partner in their well-recognized entertainment and intellectual property litigation group. He also spent a short time as a partner at Lathrop GPM, an American Lawyer 200 law firm, heading up the Los Angeles office’s intellectual property litigation team. While at these firms, Mr. Wais focused his practice on copyright and trademark infringement, defamation, publicity rights, and First Amendment disputes, including representing certain MPA member studios.
Mr. Wais received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the College of William and Mary. He resides in Culver City, CA with his wife, three daughters, and their dog, Coco.
